Treatment of Ischemic Stroke based on the Gut-microbe Axis and the Concept of"the Stomach Governs the Mind"
摘要
Abstract
With the continuous improvement of the gut-brain(MGB)axis theory and its in-depth research on the pathological mechanisms of ischemic stroke(IS),the MGB axis has been confirmed to participate in regulating the entire process of IS development and progression,and has a significant impact on disease prognosis.The theory of"the stom-ach governs the mind"posits that the stomach,as the"sea of water and grain,"is responsible for receiving and digesting food,transforming it into essential nutrients to nourish the brain.It is connected to the heart and brain through merid-ians,functionally interacting and jointly regulating the activities of the five internal organs and the mind.Modern research shows that there is a complex bidirectional regulatory mechanism between the gut micro-ecological environment,micro-bial metabolites,and the central nervous system.This study,based on the connotation of the"stomach governs the mind"theory and combined with the latest research progress on the MGB axis,systematically explores the interaction mechanism between the stomach and brain during the pathogenesis of IS.The aim is to elucidate the target of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in preventing and treating IS based on the"stomach governs the mind"theory from a modern scientific perspective,providing theoretical support for expanding the clinical application of TCM in IS treatment.关键词
