Energy-efficient adaptive cruise control under pulse-and-glide operation
摘要
Abstract
This paper investigates energy-saving control under self-adaptive cruise conditions by introducing pulse-and-glide(PnG)strategy to boost vehicles'energy efficiency.A joint simulation model is built based on Matlab/Simulink and CarSim to evaluate the effects of acceleration,coasting gear position,and speed fluctuation range on vehicle energy consumption.The optimal control strategy is then identified.On such a basis,an adaptive cruise control system integrated with PnG strategy is developed.Typical adaptive cruise working conditions are designed for simulation verification.Results show the proposed PnG-based adaptive cruise control achieves a maximum energy efficiency rate of 28.17%compared with conventional adaptive cruise control.This paper may provide some insight for the applications of adaptive cruise control systems with pulse-and-glide operation.关键词
