Abstract

Lithium is an indispensable strategic emerging resource for high technology.Hard rock lithium ores often occur in the form of veinstones,and the ore body is small in scale,making it difficult to find ore.In this paper,lithium-rich pegmatite and aqueous sediment samples in the Chaka Beishan area were studied by particle size sorting and split-phase disslution method.The total lithium content in the samples was 29.2 mg/L,33.5 mg/L,36.1 mg/L,44.0 mg/L,27.3 mg/L,and 39.4 mg/L from near to far.The lithium content of different particle sizes in the five groups was 37.71 mg/L,32.11 mg/L,30.50 mg/L,31.80 mg/L,and 36.48 mg/L,with a decreasing trend at 60~200 mesh,and a significant increase in the content below 200 mesh.The lithium content in soluble salt facies,evaporite facies and silicate facies was 0.005 mg/L,0.023 mg/L and 34.91 mg/L,respectively,indicating that lithium was mainly present in silicate rocks,and correlation analysis showed that Li and Rb elements were well correlated in soluble salt facies and evaporite facies,and Li and Be elements were best correlated in silicate facies.Particle size analysis showed that the content of Li in aqueous sediments gradually became finer with the increase of migration distance,and its content gradually increased,making it easier to occur in fine-grained sediments.Split-phase solubility analysis showed that Li was mainly present in silicate facies,mainly due to physical weathering.Correlation analysis showed that the concentration coefficient of Li in the study area is higher than the background value of sediments in the national water system,which can be used as a method to trace the origin of hard rock lithium deposits.
