顾植山教授运用大剂量白术治疗腰痛效方治验
Professor Gu Zhishan's Effective Prescription and Clinical Experience in Treating Lumbago with High-Dose Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae

Abstract
Lumbago is a common and frequently occurring clinical disease with a tendency to recur repeatedly.Professor Gu Zhishan held that the waist is the mansion of the kidney,and lumbago is mostly attributed to the kidney.As the lower source of water,the kidney is highly susceptible to cold-dampness pathogens.Invasion of water-dampness into the kidney leads to dysfunction of the waist and umbilicus region,which in turn causes lumbago.From the perspective of five evolutive phases and six climatic factors,Taiyang cold-water and Taiyin damp-earth are closely related to the onset of lumbago.Therefore,the treatment of lumbago should seek the following root cause:elevating yang and tonifying earth to eliminate dampness pathogen in the kidney.Once dampness is removed,the waist and umbilicus region will recover function,and lumbago will be relieved.High-dose Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae has the effects of regulating qi in the waist and umbilicus region and dissipating static blood in the waist,exerting a potent and specific therapeutic effect on lumbago.In clinical practice,Professor Gu is adept at using high-dose Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae as the sovereign drug to treat various types of lumbago,with the therapeutic principle of"regulating through unobstruction",and has achieved consistent good efficacy.关键词
