Abstract
Objective To observe the efficacy of Chinese medicine application of Xiaoying Sanjie ointment in the treatment of benign non-toxic thyroid nodules.Methods A total of 50 patients with benign non-toxic thyroid nodules admitted to Zunyi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2024 to April 2024 were randomly divided into a treatment group(treated with Xiaoying Sanjie ointment application)and a control group(treated with placebo),with 25 cases in each group.Changes in the size,number and nature of thyroid nodules were compared between the two groups after 12 weeks of intervention.Results After treatment,the nodules in the treatment group were significantly reduced compared with those before treatment,while there was no statistically significant difference in nodule size before and after treatment in the control group(P>0.05).The difference in the maximum nodule diameter between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).The total effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.01).After treatment,the malignant risk score in the treatment group was obviously decreased(P<0.01),whereas no significant change was observed in the control group before and after treatment(P>0.05).Moreover,the malignant risk score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion Chinese medicine application of Xiaoying Sanjie ointment could reduce the size and number of thyroid nodules and decrease the malignant transformation risk in the treatment of benign non-toxic thyroid nodules.关键词
