Abstract
To enhance the repeatability and accuracy of polarization mode dispersion(PMD)measurements in optical fiber links,a single-mode fiber PMD interferometric measurement system incorporating an improved envelope extraction algorithm is designed.An enhanced envelope extraction algorithm,combining Hilbert transform with moving average filtering,is intro-duced in the signal processing stage to effectively suppress the impact of signal fluctuations on the calculation of differential group delay(DGD).Experimental results demonstrate that the improved algorithm reduces the standard deviation of the system's measurement results to 0.003 41 ps.Comparative tests with the advanced foreign instrument EXFO-FTB-5500 show highly consistent measurement results between the two systems across different types of optical fibers.关键词
