Abstract
Building upon existing reviews of epoxy-modified silicones,this review systematically delineates the synthetic pathways,molecular structure classifications,and multifunctional application mechanisms of epoxy-functionalized polysiloxanes from the perspective of molecular design,with a specific focus on architectures where the siloxane chain serves as the backbone.It begins with a concise introduction to epoxy-functionalized polysiloxanes as functional polymers that combine the advantages of both silicones and epoxy resins.The review then provides a detailed overview of the characteristics and control strategies of four principal synthetic methods,offering a systematic classification of these molecules based on their stereo-structure and epoxy group types.Particular emphasis is placed on summarizing their application mechanisms as adhesion promoters,toughening agents,and reinforcing modifiers in enhancing material adhesion,low-temperature toughness,and mechanical strength.The synergistic enhancement effects achieved through compositing with heteroatoms and nanomaterials are also discussed.Finally,future research directions are prospected,focusing on the molecular design of phenyl-backbone structures,multifunctional integration,and green sustainable pathways.关键词
