Comparative Study on Life assessment of Polyethylene Plastics

Abstract
This study aims to address the limitations of traditional air accelerated aging method in predicting the service life of polyethylene plastics.We introduced thermogravimetric analysis and systematically compared the life prediction results of two methods under thermal exposure conditions.A life prediction model based on the Arrhenius equation was established by designing accelerated aging experiments at different temperatures and combining with performance indicators such as fracture elongation.The results showed that the thermogravimetric method significantly shortened the experimental period through dynamic temperature gradient design,and the predicted results were close to traditional thermal aging methods.This study provides a new method for rapid life assessment of polyethylene materials,which has guiding significance for reliability design in engineering applications.关键词
