Abstract
Magnesium hydroxide(MH)/linear low-density polyethylene(LLDPE)composites exhibit drawbacks such as low flame retardant efficiency and poor compatibility,which subsequently lead to reduced processing fluidity and diminished mechanical properties.Moreover,in high-fill-concentration MH/LLDPE composite systems(60 wt%MH),traditional processing additives struggle to achieve the dual objectives of excellent flame retardancy and mechanical performance.To address these challenges,this study adopts a synergistic modification strategy combining three self-developed small-molecule flow modifiers(LC-M,LC-F,and NLC-2F)with commercial polyethylene wax(PEW),specifically targeting high-filled MH/LLDPE systems.The mechanism of LC-F in the composite system was thoroughly investigated using multi dimensional methods including apparent property testing,micromorphology characterization,and mechanical property testing.The results demonstrate that LC-F significantly reduces the agglomeration of MH particles.During melt blending,LC-F effectively decreases frictional resistance interparticles and between MH particles and the LLDPE matrix.In the deformation process,LC-F in the composite can promote the participation of MH particles in deformation,thereby significantly improving the toughness of the composite.In addition,the introduction of LC-F also significantly enhances the flame retardant properties of the composite,with its limiting oxygen index(LOI)increasing from 29.8%to 33.1%.关键词
