Abstract

The Space Tug is the core carrier for driving the transformation of the space industry to-ward sustainability and service-oriented development.Systematic research has been conducted on the industrial development of Space Tugs.Firstly,the conceptual definition of the Space Tug is clarified,revealing its significant value and importance.Subsequently,the current status of the global Space Tug industry is reviewed,including an analysis of market size and driving forces,an examination of the three-tier industrial chain structure-"upstream core components,midstream system integration,and downstream operational services"and an observation that both tradition-al space giants and emerging commercial companies are actively entering the field.This has given rise to five emerging industries:satellite deployment and life extension,space logistics and refue-ling,space debris management,in-orbit testing platforms,and in-orbit assembly and manufac-turing support.At the same time,key technologies such as high-precision autonomous navigation and rendezvous docking,high-efficiency propulsion systems,in-orbit refueling,space robotics,and artificial intelligence have been identified.Finally,drawing on the foreign development expe-riences and combining with the current situation of China's industrial,recommendations are pro-posed,including phased industrial planning,accelerating breakthroughs in core technologies,strengthening national top-level design,and improving the industrial ecosystem,to provide a ref-erence for the development of China's Space Tug industry.
