摘要

Abstract

The replication of in vivo physiological conditions and identification of effective regulatory factors for embryo development are crucial aspects in the production of embryos in vitro.Exosomes,a subtype of extracellular vesicles ranging from 30 to 150nm,are released by various cell types,and serve as carriers for intercellular communication,containing abundant proteins,lipids,and diverse RNA mole-cules.As mediators of intercellular communication,exosomes play significant roles in oocyte maturation,fertilization,and preimplantation embryo development.It has been confirmed that exosomes exist in follic-ular fluid,uterine fluid,and fallopian tube epithelial cells of mammals.Addition of exosomes to the oocyte cul-ture system can regulate oocyte maturation process effectively while enhancing the rate of in vitro fertilization and promoting preimplantation embryo development.This paper aims to introduce the functions of exosomes during mammalian oocyte maturation,fertilization,and preimplantation embryo development with the purpose of provi-ding suggestions on utilizing exosomes to optimize the in vitro embryo culture system.
