Genetic Characteristics and Research Advances of Domesticated Deer in China
摘要
Abstract
Sika deer(Cervus nippon),red deer(Cervus elaphus)and its subspecies,and reindeer(Rangifer tarandus)constitute the core genetic resources of domesticated deer in China.With their unique economic traits(especially antlers),ecological adaptability,and cultural value,they support the development of China's specialty deer industry.This paper systematically reviews the population distribution and core genetic characteristics of these three domesticated deer species,focusing on summarizing recent research advances in genetic resources.Additionally,it provides an in-depth analysis of current challenges facing domesticated deer genetic resources,such as germplasm admixture,inbreeding depression,and sustainable utilization.The prospects for future directions,including the application of multi-omics technologies,gene editing,and the establishment of a comprehensive germplasm resource protection system,are discussed,aiming to provide a theoretical basis for the high-quality development of China's deer industry and the innovative utilization of genetic resources.关键词
