Abstract

To address the issues of low cross-platform interaction efficiency,high storage redundan-cy,and incomplete attribute conversion in building information modeling(BIM)full information data,this paper proposes a data parsing and conversion method for BIM full information data based on a light-weight database.By constructing a multi-level parsing and classification conversion framework tailored for BIM full information,a linear design model structure tree is established in advance.Subsequently,the geometric,attribute,and material information of elements is parsed layer by layer.The parsed ele-ment information is then categorized into six major types and converted into database objects recognized by the lightweight database,which are written into a custom database file.Innovatively,a database ob-ject model based on the"full information data structure"is proposed,leveraging the efficient storage ca-pabilities of the lightweight database to achieve a refined conversion of BIM full information data into lightweight database files.Compared with the IFC standard,experimental data indicate that the new method reduces the size of the converted model by half,improves data parsing efficiency by threefold,and fully retains all element types,model hierarchical structures,and professional attributes of the orig-inal model.The research demonstrates that full information conversion of BIM data is achieved through custom database files,ensuring that geometric,attribute,and material information of elements in the model is not lost,while achieving high data conversion and storage efficiency.This method facilitates seamless data flow and shared application,meeting the data delivery and application requirements for various scenarios in the infrastructure scenarios.
