Z-型MoO3-x/Zn0.76Co0.24S的制备及其光催化产氢研究
Study on fabrication of Z-scheme MoO3-x/Zn0.76Co0.24S for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution
摘要
Abstract
Semiconductor-based photocatalytic hydrogen evolution technology is one of the most prom-ising ways to cope with the energy crisis and realize carbon neutrality. In this study,an efficient and stable MoO3-x/Zn0.76Co0.24S heterojunction was fabricated for hydrogen evolution by coupling plasma semiconductor MoO3-x and ternary metal sulfide Zn0.76Co0.24S(ZCS)through a simple hydrothermal process. In detail, the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate of MoO3-x/ZCS reached 4.32 mmol/(g·h),and the hydrogen evolution rate was still up to 4.25 mmol/(g·h)at the sixth use at room tempera-ture,which was higher than that of common classical catalysts. The mechanism analysis revealed that the photogenerated carriers of MoO3-x/ZCS follow the Z-scheme transfer route.Under irradiation, the photogenerated electrons in the conduction band of MoO3-x combine with the photogenerated holes in the valence band of ZCS through electrostatic effect, leading to the photogenerated electrons of MoO3-x/ZCS accumulating in the conduction band of ZCS,corresponding to stronger reducing ability(-1.72 eV),thereby acting on the efficient photocatalytic hydrogen evolution.More importantly, the plasma semiconductor of MoO3-x could convert light energy into heat energy through localized surface plasmon resonance effect, facilitating the performance of MoO3-x/ZCS toward photocatalytic hydrogen evolution through photothermal coordination. This study shed light on the design of Z-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst for high efficiency photothermal catalysis.关键词
