Impact of digital capability on agricultural income:from dual perspectives of income growth and income inequality
摘要
Abstract
Based on the 2020 CRRS data,this study empirically analyzes the impact,mechanism,and threshold effect of digital capability on farmers'agricultural income and agricultural income inequality by employing the Ordinary Least Squares(OLS)model,mediating effect model,and threshold regression model.The results show that digital capability significantly promotes the growth of farmers'agricultural income and reduces agricultural income inequality,in which the use of digital technology is a key factor from a multidimensional perspective.Mechanism analysis reveals that digital capability primarily encourages farmers to adopt green production behaviors,thereby increasing their agricultural income and mitigating income inequality.The threshold effect test results show that the impact of digital capability on farmers'agricultural income and income inequality is based on the threshold effect of operational scale.After crossing the corresponding threshold value,the impact of digital capability on farmers'agricultural income and income inequality grows greater.Therefore,efforts should be made with the focus on enhancing farmers'digital capability and implementing targeted empowerment to drive the transformation toward green production through digitalization to strengthen income growth and inclusive mechanisms;Meanwhile appropriately scaled operations should be supported to overcome the scale-related threshold effects of digital capacity.关键词
