Perceptual Evaluation Study of the Community Wellness Center in the Jilin Diesel Engine Plant Area under the Emotional Interaction Theory

Abstract
Against the dual background of population aging and urban renewal,the transformation of industrial heritage into community wellness centers has emerged as a significant pathway.This study takes the renovation project of the former workers'hospital of the Jilin Diesel Engine Plant as a case study,introducing the Emotional Interaction Theory to explore how industrial heritage spaces can transition from"production spaces"to"living spaces"through three dimensions:emotional evocation,interactive quality,and meaning generation.By combining the Semantic Differential Method(SD),the study constructs a perceptual evaluation system encompassing five dimensions:emotional safety,emotional accessibility,emotional comfort,emotional recognizability,and emotional engagement.A survey is conducted among elderly residents aged 60 and above with long-term connections to the area.The findings reveal that the material traces and historical narratives of industrial heritage can be effectively transformed into emotional resources,yet proactive design guidance is necessary to achieve a positive translation from"production memory"to"life meaning".关键词
