A Performance-Oriented Study on the Optimization of Urban Morphology for Mitigating Heat Island Effect from the Perspective of Industrial Land Renewal:A Case Study of Qinhuai District,Nanjing

Abstract
This study assesses the potential for industrial land renewal in Qinhuai District,Nanjing,by quantifying key urban morphological indicators and identifying primary renewal trends.It specifically investigates the scenario of converting industrial land into residential use.Utilizing parametric modeling tools,the research simulates the renewal of actual urban fabric sections.Computational experiments are conducted to determine the Mean Sky View Factor(MSVF)for residential models with varying development intensities.Based on the integration of numerical data and morphological analysis,the relationship between the MSVF and plot development intensity is analyzed.Consequently,the study summarizes performance-oriented design principles for optimizing the thermal environment(mitigating the heat island effect)when industrial land is renewed for residential purposes.关键词
