德国政府涉老科普文本中的老年人形象研究
A Study on the Representation of Older Adults in Aging-Related Popular Science Texts Issued by the German Government
摘要
Abstract
How to construct positive and diverse images of older adults through government-issued texts represents a key challenge in advancing active aging.Drawing on Systemic Functional Grammar, this study examines the representations of older adults in 47 aging-related popular science texts published by the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs,Senior Citizens,Women and Youth.Employing content analysis, the study explores the portrayals of older adults and the discourse strategies used to construct these images. The findings reveal that the texts employ three main discourse strategies:subject prominence at the syntactic level, emphasis on capability at the semantic level, and interpersonal relationship construction at the pragmatic level. These strategies contribute to shaping the images of older adults as individuals with self-protection awareness, life planning abilities, active participation in community building, beneficiaries of the healthcare system, digitally competent"silver generation"members, proactive self-image constructors, and individuals who confront illness through a synergy of personal will and institutional support. This analysis of German government aging-related science communication aims to enrich the discourse system of aging-related popular science in China and provide guidance for future text development.关键词
