The Impact of Digital Economy on the Production Safety of the Wooden Furniture Industry
摘要
Abstract
⑴ Background——The wooden furniture industry is a typical traditional manufacturing sector in China and occupies an important position in the international trade market.However,against the backdrop of the rapid de-velopment of the digital economy,the digitalization and customized production remains a shortcoming in the de-velopment of China's wooden furniture industry.The existing literature mainly focuses on the research of produc-tion safety issues in the wooden furniture industry on macroeconomic development and safety governance at the micro level of enterprises,leaving considerable room for expansion in the research of production safety issues at the industrial level. ⑵ Methods——This paper first proposed the research hypotheses based on relevant theoretical analysis.Then,it constructed an evaluation index system for the digital economy index and production safety of the wooden furniture industry,and used the entropy weight method to calculate the development level of the digital economy and the production safety level of the wooden furniture industry in 30 provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions)of China.Finally,it verified the research hypotheses through mediating effect analysis,heterogeneity test and threshold effect test,and analyzed the influence mechanism of the digital economy on the production safety of the wooden furniture industry.The research data were mainly derived from the provincial-level statistical yearbooks of China from 2005 to 2023. ⑶ Results——First,the digital economy can effectively improve the production safety level of the wooden furniture industry.Second,the management capability of the wooden furniture industry in the production process is an important influencing factor of the digital economy on its production safety.Third,through the discussion on heterogeneity and the test of threshold effect,it is found that this influence mechanism is not a simple linear change.When the investment in management costs in the wooden furniture industry exceeds the threshold value,the role of the digital economy in enhancing the production safety of the industry's supply chain becomes more significant.In the low investment stage,the mediating effect of management costs is relatively weak,while in the high investment stage,management costs have a stronger mediating effect. ⑷ Conclusions and Discussions——First,the relevant government departments should establish a digit-al platform for the wooden furniture industry to integrate information such as production standards,data and tech-nical resources within the industry,facilitate information exchange and sharing among enterprises and across the industries.Second,the relevant government departments may set up special subsidy funds to grant a certain per-centage of purchase cost subsidies to enterprises that adopt digital management systems,thereby reducing the costs of their digital transformation.Third,formulate digital management standards for the production processes of the wooden furniture industry,and clarify the digital indicators and requirements for enterprises in production management.关键词
