摘要

Abstract

Sesame meal,a by-product of sesame processing,is recognized as a high-quality protein source with high nutrient content.However,it has inherent limitations:its overall amino acid profile is imbalanced,with lysine being particularly deficient.Additionally,the presence of antinutritional factors such as phytate and tannins,combined with traditional processing techniques,imparts bitterness to sesame meal.These fac-tors not only reduce palatability but also impair mineral absorption and growth performance in aquatic ani-mals.Consequently,its inclusion level in feed formulations must be strictly controlled.Furthermore,sesame meal requires stringent storage conditions.Due to its relatively high moisture content,improper storage-characterized by high temperature,humidity,and inadequate ventilation-can lead to mold growth and oxidation,producing various harmful sub-stances detrimental to animal health.Nevertheless,treatments such as physical processing,fermenta-tion,and heat treatment can effectively enhance its nutritional value and utilization efficiency.Micro-bial fermentation improves palatability,while physical processing and heat treatment reduce antinutritional factors and oxidative risks.This paper reviews the nutritional composition of sesame meal,its application in feeds for different aquatic species,and future directions for technical optimization,aiming to provide a reference for its practical application.
