Effects of Glucose Metabolism Reprogramming on the Regulation of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Based on the Theory of"Spleen Governing Transformation and Transportation"

Abstract
Polycystic ovary syndrome(PC OS)is a common endocrine and metabolic disorder,often accompanied by hyperandro-genism(HA),insulin resistance(IR),and abnormal glucose metabolism.Glucose metabolism reprogramming refers to the adjust-ment and remodeling of cellular glucose metabolic pathways under physiological or pathological conditions to adapt to specific ener-gy demands and changes in the metabolic environment.Glucose metabolism reprogramming can affect IR,inflammation,and oxida-tive stress,thereby disrupting hormonal balance and contributing to the occurrence and development of PCOS.The traditional Chi-nese medicine(TCM)theory of"spleen governing transformation and transportation"states that the spleen is the main core for maintaining energy metabolism and material transformation in the body.Dysfunction of spleen governing transformation and trans-portation leads to internal accumulation of phlegm and blood stasis,as well as imbalance of qi and blood,which constitute the key pathogenesis of PCOS.The theory of"spleen governing transformation and transportation"shares similarities with the modern medi-cal concept of glucose metabolism.When spleen transformation and transportation function is impaired,it can directly lead to imbal-ance in the movement and distribution of essential substances,thereby interfering with the body's acquisition and utilization of ener-gy,which is similar to IR and abnormal glucose metabolism caused by glucose metabolism reprogramming.Under the guidance of the"spleen governing transformation and transportation"theory,the method of assisting spleen transformation and transportation,u-sing TCM prescriptions to regulate glucose metabolism reprogramming in the treatment of PCOS,has achieved favorable clinical effi-cacy.This study explores the intrinsic relationship among the"spleen governing transformation and transportation"theory,glucose metabolism reprogramming,and PCOS,aiming to provide a new research approach for the TCM treatment of PCOS.关键词
