Comparative analysis of the detection performance of nine commercial CP4EPSPS lateral flow strips

Abstract
[Objective]This study aimed to systematically evaluate the detection performance of immunochromatographic test strips from different brands for CP4EPSPS,and to establish a comprehensive and scientific evaluation system for test strips.[Methods]Nine commercial brands of test strips were selected to evaluate eleven indicators,including membrane width,liquid migration speed,precision,specificity,accuracy,repeatability,and stability.A standard curve was established using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)to determine protein concentrations,thereby ensuring the accuracy of the detection limits for each brand of test strip.In addition,polymerase chain reaction(PCR)methods were cross-validated with the test strip re-sults to guarantee the reliability and authenticity of the experimental results.[Results]The membrane widths of the test strips ranged from 3 to 5 mm,and the liquid migration speeds varied between 0.443 mm/s and 1.538 mm/s.The detection limits dif-fered significantly,with the lowest at 1 ng/mL and the highest at 7 ng/mL.All brands demonstrated good performance in terms of precision,specificity,and consistency with nucleic acid detection results.[Conclusion]The comprehensive evaluation system developed in this study can thoroughly reflect the detection performance of immunochromatographic test strips.It is not only applicable to CP4EPSPS protein test strips but can also be extended to other transgenic protein test strips.This study pro-vides a theoretical basis and practical reference for product performance optimization and the construction of GM regulatory sys-tems.关键词
