Abstract

Relay cooperation based on Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface(RIS)-assisted Spatially-Coupled Low Density Parity Check(SC-LDPC)product codes is investigated.The source node performs row encoding on the information matrix using SC-LDPC product codes,while the relay node performs column encoding on the same matrix.To further enhance the coding gain,a Replication and Masking(R&M)-based algebraic construction method is adopted to design the parity-check matrix of the SC-LDPC codes for cycle elimination.The short cycles in the parity check matrix are systematically eliminated,which significantly increases the girth of the code and reduces the error floor.The destination node performs alternating decoding between row decoding and column decoding of the SC-LDPC product codes on the two received signals,enabling full information exchange during the decoding process.The proposed decoding method facilitates real-time soft information exchange between the row and column dimensions.This interaction enables earlier detection and correction of potential errors,thereby enhancing both the convergence rate of iterations and the overall decoding reliability.Simulation results demonstrate that the SC-LDPC product codes constructed via the R&M algebraic method achieve superior performance compared to conventional SC-LDPC product codes.Moreover,the information exchange between column decoding and row decoding contributes to improved decoding efficiency and reduced Bit Error Rate(BER).
