Abstract
Objective Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB),this study investigates the influencing factors and mechanisms underlying Western medicine practitioners' prescribing behavior of Chinese herbal decoctions at Affiliated Hospi-tal of Guangdong Medical University. Methods A convenience sampling method was employed to survey 129 Western medicine practitioners.SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 22.0 were used to analyze the direct and indirect effects of attitude toward behavior,subjec-tive norms, perceived behavioral control, and behavioral intention on prescribing behavior. The bootstrap method was applied to test mediating effects. Results ①Overall prescribing behavior was satisfactory, with significant differences observed based on participation in"Western Medicine Practitioners Learning Chinese Medicine"training and professional positions(P<0.05).②The scale demonstrated good reliability(Cronbach'sα=0.749-0.953).③The structural equation model exhibited acceptable fit(x2/df=1.244,GFI=0.960,RMSEA=0.068).④Attitude toward behavior(β=0.523,P<0.05),subjective norms(β=0.548,P<0.05),and perceived behavioral control(β=0.455,P<0.01)positively predicted behavioral intention, which in turn positively predicted prescribing behavior.⑤Behavioral intention mediated the relationships between attitude,sub-jective norms, perceived behavioral control, and prescribing behavior.⑥Perceived behavioral control exerted a direct positive effect on prescribing behavior(β=0.517,P<0.001).Conclusion The TPB-based model effectively explains Western medi-cine practitioners' prescribing behavior of Chinese herbal decoctions.Attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral con-trol are key factors influencing behavioral intention, while behavioral intention serves as a direct predictor of prescribing behavior.Targeted interventions should focus on refining training systems, fostering collaborative environments, and strengthening aware-ness of TCM-WM integration to advance collaborative care.关键词
