Stability Analysis of Insulator Connection Structures in Pulsed Power Sources

Abstract
The insulator is a critical component connecting the inner and outer cylinders in pulsed power sources,and its performance directly affects the structural stability of the entire system.Since the insulator is made of non-metallic materials with excellent insulation performance but relatively poor mechanical stability,it is difficult to meet the requirements for high-stability connections.To compensate for the insufficient stability of non-metallic materials and improve connection stiffness between outer cylinders,this paper proposes a novel connection structure that accounts for the compression creep characteristics of the insulator.In this structure,the insulator is compressed by the pre-tension force between adjacent outer cylinders,establishing stable contact between the outer cylinders and the insulator.On this basis,the key factors influencing the stability of the connection structure are analyzed,and a theoretical model for the connection stiffness is established.Furthermore,the compression creep properties of the non-metallic insulator are investigated experimentally,and a creep model of the insulator is established based on the experiment results.Simulation results demonstrate that stable contact can be achieved with this connection structure,and the compression creep characteristics of the insulator contribute to improve the overall structural stiffness.关键词
