Effects of Jinshui Dingchuan pills combined with acupoint injection of astragalus injection on lung function,FeNO,and inflammatory factors in patients with asthma-COPD overlap with syndrome of lung-kidney deficiency

Abstract
Objective It is to evaluate the efficacy of Jinshui Dingchuan pills combined with acupoint injection of as-tragalus injection in the treatment of patients with asthma-chronic obstructive pulmonary disease overlap(ACO)with syn-drome of lung-kidney deficiency,and to observe its effects on pulmonary function,exhaled nitric oxide(FeNO),and ser-um levels of inflammatory markers.Methods Sixty patients with ACO treated at the Department of Pulmonology of Jining Hospital of Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences from August 2023 to October 2024 were ran-domly divided into treatment group and control group by a random number table,with 30 patients in each group.The pa-tients in the control group were treated with a combination of budesonide/formoterol powder for inhalation and tiotropium bromide powder for inhalation,the treatment group was treated with Jinshui Dingchuan pills via oral administration com-bined with astragalus injection via acupoint injection at Guanyuan and Zusanli acupoints on the basis of treatment in the control group,both groups were treated for 12 weeks.The TCM syndrome scores,ACT scores,CAT scores,FEV1%,FEV1/FVC,FeNO,and serum levels of CRP,IL-6,IgE,and EOS%of patients before and after treatment were compared between the two groups,and the clinical efficacies of the two groups were evaluated.Results A total of 29 patients in the control group and 30 patients in the treatment group finally completed the study.After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores,CAT scores,and the levels of FeNO,CRP,IL-6,total IgE,and EOS%were all significantly lower,while the ACT scores,FEV1%,and FEV1/FVC were all significantly higher than those before treatment in the two groups,further-more,the TCM syndrome scores,CAT scores,the levels of FeNO,CRP,IL-6,total IgE,and EOS%were all significantly lower,while the ACT scores,FEV1%,and FEV1/FVC were significantly higher in the treatment group than those in the control group,the differences were all statistically significant(all P<0.05).The overall response rate in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group[90.0%(27/30)vs69.0%(20/29),P<0.05].Conclu-sion Jinshui Dingchuan pills combined with acupoint injection of astragalus injection can significantly alleviate clinical symptoms,improve lung function,inhibit airway inflammatory responses,and improve quality of life in the treatment of ACO patients with syndrome of lung-kidney deficiency.关键词
