Fresh Herbs and Warm Diseases:Medical Understanding and Adjustments in the Jiangnan Region

Abstract
During the Ming and Qing dynasties,the Jiangnan region gradually became an important area for the exchange of academic and medical knowledge,and developed a distinctive Traditional Chinese Medicine culture,which became an important part of Jiangnan culture.At that time,warm diseases occurred frequently,and doctors in Jiangnan region showed a preference for fresh herbs in their practice of treating warm diseases,which had significant regional characteristics.This paper focuses on the Four Great Masters of Warm Diseases,supplemented by other physicians,to explore the understanding of fresh herbs by physicians in the Jiangnan region and their applications in the treatment of epidemics.It aims to explore the perspectives of physicians in understanding and using herbs in a specific regional environment,as well as how to understand the relationship between medicine,the human body and diseases,so as to make corresponding adjustments.This"local knowledge"was not only an important part of the social life and culture of the Jiangnan region during the Ming and Qing dynasties,but also had reference value for modern epidemic disease prevention and control.关键词
