基于DIKW模型视觉障碍模拟体验训练在眼科新入职护士培训中的应用
The application of visual impairment simulation training based on DIKW model in the training of novice ophthalmic nurses

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the application effects of visual impairment simulation training based on the data-information-knowledge-wisdom(DIKW)model on humanistic professional competence,empathy,professional identity,patient satisfaction,and the incidence of adverse events among newly recruited ophthalmology nurses.Methods:A randomized controlled trial design was employed.70 newly recruited nurses from a Grade Ⅲspecialized ophthalmology hospital in Tianjin City were selected as the study subjects,and the research was conducted from October to December 2023.The participants were randomly divided into control group(35 cases)and intervention group(35 cases)using a random number table method.The control group received traditional training,which combined theoretical instruction with clinical practice.In contrast,the intervention group underwent visual impairment simulation training based on the DIKW model,enabling nurses to experience different visual impairments through scenario simulations.The effectiveness of the training was evaluated using several assessment tools,including the Nurse Humanistic Professional Competence Assessment Scale,the Jefferson Empathy Scale(JSE),the Nurse Professional Identity Scale,the Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire,and the Nursing Adverse Event(NAE)Incidence Rate.Results:Both groups showed significant improvements in the total scores for humanistic professional competence,empathy,and professional identity compared to their pre-intervention levels(P<0.05).Notably,the intervention group demonstrated significantly greater improvement than the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention,patients cared for by the intervention group exhibited higher average satisfaction scores in terms of proactive service awareness,nurse-patient communication,and safety management(all P<0.05).Additionally,the intervention group showed statistically significant reductions in NAE incidence rates related to falls,bed falls,and attitude-related issues(all P<0.05).Conclusions:Visual impairment simulation training based on DIKW model can effectively enhance the humanistic professional competence,empathy level,and professional identity of newly recruited ophthalmic nurses.It also improves patient satisfaction,reduces the incidence of nursing adverse events,and comprehensively improves the quality of nursing care.关键词
