Canadian Origins of the Theoretical System of Higher Education Internationalization:Implications for China's Construction of an Independent Knowledge System with Chinese Characteristics

Abstract
The theoretical system of higher education internationalization has profound Canadian origins,which derives from Canada's long-term and multi-dimensional practical explorations and has been gradually improved through the in-depth interaction between theoretical construction and critical reflection.Canadian scholars have reflected on the value orientations and cultural contexts of higher education internationalization,and meanwhile carried out continuous iteration of research paradigms,thus gradually forming a diversified academic pedigree.Jane Knight has systematically integrated the concepts and theoretical viewpoints in the diversified academic pedigree by defining the theoretical connotations of higher education internationalization,clarifying its two core pillars-cross-border internationalization and internationalization at home and constructing its motivation model and strategic framework.The Canadian theoretical system of higher education internationalization has experienced a dynamic development process featuring practical incubation,theoretical generation and reflective reconstruction,and its experience can offer valuable insights for China to construct an independent knowledge system with Chinese characteristics.关键词
