摘要

Abstract

This dataset systematically compiles a global meta-dataset of the effects of soil amendment application on soil organic carbon(SOC)and crop yield in aeolian sandy soils,aiming to quantify and evaluate the effects of different types of amendments,including organic and inorganic materials,on SOC sequestration and crop productivity enhancement in aeolian `sandy soils.The dataset integrates 843 independent observations derived from 151 peer-reviewed publications published between 1987 and 2023.For each observation,SOC content and crop yield were used as the key response variables.To facilitate a deeper understanding of the mechanisms by which soil amendments affect carbon sequestration and productivity in sandy soils,the dataset comprehensively assembles key explanatory variables:(1)climatic factors(mean annual temperature,mean annual precipitation,and aridity index);(2)initial soil physicochemical properties(soil texture,bulk density,porosity,pH,and total nitrogen content,among others);and(3)agronomic management practices(crop type,soil sampling depth,amendment application rate,experimental duration,and tillage management).Strict quality control procedures were implemented throughout dataset construction,including multi-stage literature screening,standardized data extraction,and independent cross-validation.Missing variables were supplemented according to unified criteria,including climate data reconstruction based on geographic coordinates and standard deviation estimation using established statistical approaches.The high quality and standardized structure of this dataset provides a robust foundation for multi-scale synthesis and quantitative assessment,support the identification of key drivers regulating SOC sequestration and crop yield responses in sandy soils.The dataset provides reliable data support evidence-based decision-making in the sustainable management of aeolian sandy soils.
