Abstract
A 42-day experiment was performed to examine how different dietary levels of lentinan(LNT)affect growth performance, slaughter performance, and breast muscle amino acid composition in white-feathered broilers.480 one-day-old healthy AA broilers with an initial body weight of 35±2 g were equally divided into 4 groups(6 replicates of 20 birds each).Birds in the control group(CON)were fed a basal diet, whereas those in the treatment groups received the basal diet supplemented with 100,200,or 400 mg/kg LNT(LNT100,LNT200,and LNT400,respectively).The results showed that compared with the control group, the average daily gain(ADG)of broilers in the LNT200 and LNT400 groups during 1-42 days of age was increased by 6.3%and 6.9%,respectively(P<0.05),and the feed-to-gain ratio(F/G)was decreased by 5.7%(P<0.05).The eviscerated yield and breast muscle percentage in the LNT200 group were increased by 3.5%and 6.5%,while the thigh muscle percentage in the LNT400 group was increased by 4.3%(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the contents of glutamic acid, aspartic acid, leucine and lysine in the breast muscle of the LNT200 group were increased by 11.8%,9.5%,8.2%and 7.6%,respectively(P<0.05),and the total amino acids and total essential amino acids were increased by 6.5%and 7.0%,respectively(P<0.05).In conclusion, dietary supplementation with 200 mg/kg lentinan can improve growth performance and slaughter performance of broilers, and increase the contents of umami amino acids and essential amino acids in breast muscle.关键词
