Abstract
This study was conducted to systematically evaluate the effects of replacing basal diet with mixed fermented potato starch residue feed on the growth performance,nutrient digestion,and immune function of weaned piglets,and to determine its optimal supplementation level.A total of 96 healthy weaned piglets(Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire;21 d old;7.23±0.51 kg initial BW)with similar body weight were randomly assigned to 4 treatment groups using a single-factor completely randomized design.Each group had 8 replicates with 3 pigs per replicate.The control group(CON)received a basal diet.The experimental groups(T1,T2,T3)received basal diets with 5%,10%,and 15%replaced by the mixed fermented feed,respectively,while maintaining iso-energetic and iso-nitrogenous conditions across all diets.The experiment lasted for 28 days.The main findings are as follows:1)Compared with the control group,the T2 group showed a significantly higher average daily gain(ADG)by 14.32%(P<0.05)and a lower feed/gain ratio(F/G)by 9.07%(P<0.05).While ADG in the T3 group was not significantly different from the control(P>0.05),its F/G was significantly higher than that of the T2 group(P<0.05).2)In terms of nutrient digestibility,the T2 group exhibited significantly higher apparent digestibility of crude protein(CP),dry matter(DM),crude fiber(CF),and ether extract(EE)compared to the control group(P<0.05),with increases of 8.76%,7.31%,18.56%,and 6.92%,respectively.3)For immune function indicators,the concentrations of immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin G(IgG),and immunoglobulin M(IgM)in the serum of the T2 group were significantly increased by 22.71%,18.24%,and 15.33%(P<0.05),respectively,while the concentrations of pro-inflammatory cytokines interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)were significantly decreased by 21.05%and 16.46%(P<0.05),respectively.In conclusion,under the conditions of this experiment,dietary supplementation of 10%mixed fermented feed with potato starch residue,while maintaining consistent dietary nutrient levels,can significantly improve growth performance,increase nutrient digestibility,and enhance immune function in weaned piglets.The results provide a reliable theoretical basis for the efficient resource utilization of potato starch residue in piglet production.关键词
