Advances in lipid synthesis and transport in livestock mammary glands

Abstract
Mammary epithelial cells play a central role in the lactation process of livestock,responsible for synthesizing and secreting milk.Lipids in milk are crucial for the growth and development of newborn animals and are also important indicators for evaluating the nutritional value of milk.Milk fat is mainly composed of triglycerides,and its synthesis and secretion processes are finely regulated by various factors.The synthesized triglycerides and other milk fat are packaged into lipid droplets and secreted into the acinar cavity bymammary epithelial cells to form milk.This process not only involves the synthesis of fatty acids,glycerol skeleton and triglycerides,but also is a dynamic and multi-level regulated process.In addition,lipid synthesis and transport in mammary epithelial cells involve multiple biochemical pathways and cellular regulatory mechanisms,including hormones,nutrients,genes,and signal transduction pathways.These factors collectively modulate the synthesis and secretion of milk fat through a fine-tuned regulatory mechanism.This article reviewed the research progress on lipid transport and synthesis in mammary epithelial cells in recent years.A deep understanding of these molecular mechanisms is of great scientific and practical significance for improving the quality of dairy products and enhancing dairy production.In future research,the interactions between these regulatory factors and their influences on lipid metabolism in mammary epithelial cells need to explore,which will provide theoretical values for improving the quality of dairy products.关键词
