Research progress on paired associative stimulation for post-stroke motor dysfunction
摘要
Abstract
Paired associative stimulation(PAS)is a novel non-invasive brain stimulation technique based on spike-timing-dependent plasticity(STDP),which modulates neuroplasticity by combining transcranial magnetic stimulation with peripheral nerve electrical stimulation,effectively improving post-stroke motor dysfunction.Its mechanism involves STDP-induced long-term potentiation-or depression-like changes,mediated by brain-derived neurotrophic factor-dependent synaptic remodeling,while selectively regulating the interhemispheric inhibitory balance to promote functional reorganization.PAS has recently emerged as a research hotspot in the field of neurorehabilitation for post-stroke motor dysfunction,demonstrating broad prospects for clinical applications.This review summarizes the mechanisms and clinical applications of PAS for treating post-stroke motor dysfunction.Future research should focus on validating the long-term efficacy and developing individualized treatment protocols to advance the clinical translation of PAS.关键词
