摘要

Abstract

Using county-level input-output data on aquaculture in Hubei Province from 2000 to 2023,this study applies a stochastic frontier analysis(SFA)to estimate aquaculture technical efficiency,examines its dynamic evolution,and employs a multiple linear regression model to explore the effects of socioeconomic and climatic factors.The results show that since 2000,aquaculture technical efficiency in Hubei has exhibited a fluctuating yet upward trend overall,exhibiting a fluctuating yet upward trend,while regional disparities are pronounced,with a clear spatial pattern of"higher in the east(0.822)and lower in the west(0.723)."Topographic conditions also constrain efficiency;flatter slopes are associated with higher efficiency.Heatwave frequency,urbanization,aquatic product processing rate,and internet access rate exert inhibitory effects on efficiency,whereas economic development,the share of professional technicians,and integrated rice-fish farming significantly improve efficiency.To enhance aquaculture technical efficiency,Hubei should prioritize professional talent training and technology extension,support eco-friendly models such as integrated rice-fish systems,and improve region-specific climate adaptation mechanisms to promote a locally tailored and coordinated development pathway.
