不同纤维成形结构的碳纤维预制体对湿式摩擦材料性能的影响研究
Study on the Effects of Carbon Fiber Preforms with Different Fiber Forming Structures on Properties of Wet Friction Materials

Abstract
To optimize the structural design and regulate tribological properties of carbon fiber friction materials,three types of polyacryloni-trile(PAN)-based carbon fiber preforms including raw carbon paper,carbon felt,and carbon cloth were impregnated with phenolic resin solu-tion.Carbon fiber friction materials were subsequently manufactured via hot pressing and curing.The influences of different preform struc-tures on surface micromorphology,pore structure,hardness,shear strength,compression resilience,friction,and wear performance of the materials were investigated.The results revealed that compared with carbon cloth-based samples,the carbon fiber friction materials pre-pared from raw carbon paper and carbon felt showed porosity increased by 386.2%and 338.3%,hardness declined by 34.0%and 30.1%,compressibility increased by 60.0%and 24.1%,resilience rate declined by 5.6%and 4.6%,and permanent deformation rate increased by 151.7%and 101.7%,respectively,both accompanied by a remarkable reduction in shear strength.After friction and wear tests,raw carbon paper and carbon felt-based fiber friction materials achieved superior friction performance.Their midpoint friction coefficients were 0.116~0.141 and 0.105~0.131,end-to-midpoint friction coefficient ratios were 0.952~1.081 and 1.082~1.173,and wear rates were 2.16×10-6 and 1.46×10-6 cm3/J,correspondingly.By contrast,carbon cloth-based fiber friction material possessed a midpoint friction coefficient of 0.094~0.118,an end-to-midpoint friction coefficient ratio of 0.987~1.115,and a wear rate of 1.18×10-6 cm3/J,which exhibited outstanding bonding stability and long-term wear resistance.关键词
