Abstract
To understand the mechanism of color formation in Phalaenopsis aphrodite,4 different-col-ored varieties of Phalaenopsis aphrodite were selected as samples.Various morphological indicators were measured,and the morphology of epidermal cells,anthocyanin content and color parameters of petals and sepals at different developmental stages of each variety were observed and analyzed.The results showed that the genetic diversity index of the 4 Phalaenopsis aphrodite varieties was relative-ly high.There were no significant differences in the epidermal cell morphology and pigment distribu-tion of petals and sepals.The pigment was mainly distributed in the upper and lower epidermal cells,and the darker the color,the more pigment was distributed.The structural differentiation of upper and lower epidermal cells was significant,and the cone shape of upper epidermal cells was significant-ly higher than that of lower epidermal cells.The purple-red variety showed a trend of increasing red tone and saturation as the flower organs developed,while the white variety always maintained a light color phenotype with low chroma and high brightness.The total anthocyanin content was positively correlated with the flower color of the variety and negatively correlated with the L*value.The antho-cyanin content determined the depth of the flower color,and the higher the content,the lower the brightness of the flower color.The parameters of upper epidermal cells were highly significantly cor-related with the anthocyanin content.It was speculated that in addition to affecting the flower color by influencing the refraction of light,the upper epidermal cells also regulated the flower color by physical compression or light signal transmission through cell morphology,thereby affecting the activity of an-thocyanin synthase and achieving flower color regulation.关键词
