摘要

Abstract

To clarify the role of L-phenylalanine(Phe)in the regulation of salt stress in rice,this study analyzed the effects of exogenous Phe on the young root development and jasmonic acid(JA)synthesis of rice seedlings under salt stress from phenotype,cytology,and gene expression perspectives.The results indicated that under 50 mmol/L NaCl,0.3 mmol/L Phe treatment significantly increased the radicle length by 234.9%,expanded the root apical meristem area by 47.1%,and increased the cell length in the elongation zone by 45.7%on the 3rd day.On the 2nd and 3rd days after NaCl+Phe treatment,the JA content in roots synificanthy decreases by 43.7%and 48.4%,respectively,compared with that under NaCl treatment.Quantitative real-time PCR analysis revealed that Phe inhibited the expression of lipoxygenase genes(OsLOX4,OsLOX6,and OsLOX7)and β-oxidase(a rate-limiting enzyme)genes(OsACX2 and OsACX3)involved in the JA synthesis pathway under salt stress.The results demonstrated that exogenous Phe effectively alleviated the inhibitory effect of salt stress on the young root growth,potentially through suppressing the JA synthesis pathway.
