Abstract
Objective To explore the application effect of the Cox interaction model of client health behavior(Cox-IMCHB model)based integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine nursing in outpatient nursing for pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM).Methods This study enrolled 80 pregnant women with GDM who were diagnosed in the Obstetric Clinic of Tianchang City People's Hospital and whose perinatal health care records were established from July 2024 to May 2025.Using a random number table,the patients were divided into an observation group and a control group,each with 40 cases.All enrolled pregnant women received standardized dietary guidance developed by the Nutrition Department and blood glucose monitoring training during the study period.The control group received routine obstetric outpatient nursing and follow-up,while the observation group received nursing interventions of the Cox-IMCHB model based integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine nursing in addition to the care provided to the control group.The nursing intervention period lasted until 42 days postpartum.The two groups were compared in terms of blood glucose metabolism indicators(fasting blood glucose[FPG],glycated hemoglobin[HbA1c],oral glucose tolerance test[OGTT]),self-management ability,maternal and neonatal clinical outcomes(incidence rates of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy,cesarean section,macrosomia,and neonatal hypoglycemia),and general well-being.Results At mid-intervention and post-intervention,the observation group showed significantly lower FPG,2hPG,and HbA1c levels,and significantly higher self-management ability and general well-being scores compared with the control group(P<0.05).The incidence rates of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy,cesarean section,macrosomia,and neonatal hypoglycemia were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The intervention program of the Cox-IMCHB model based integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine nursing effectively improves self-management ability,blood glucose control,and maternal and neonatal outcomes in pregnant women with GDM.关键词
