Characteristics of the spatial pattern of food security level and the evolution pattern in Human Province

Abstract
This paper analyzed the spatiotemporal patterns and evolution of per capita grain possession at the county level to reveal the spatial distribution and development trends of grain production in Hunan Province.Using 99 county-level units as the basic scale,we applied spatial autocorrelation and a gravity center migration model to examine the spatiotemporal dynamics and driving mechanisms of per capita grain possession from 2001 to 2022.The results showed three main findings:(1)Per capita grain possession in the prov-ince showed a continuous growth trend,with surplus grain areas expanding and deficit areas shrinking.(2)County-level grain posses-sion presented clustered distributions:high-value clusters concentrate along the border of Changde City and Yiyang City,while low-value clusters appear in the Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.(3)The gravity center of per capita grain possession re-mained in the central region but gradually shifts northwest.Based on these results,we recommended strengthening agricultural infra-structure,promoting efficient technologies,and introducing advanced cultivation methods and scientific management models in deficit ar-eas to enhance local grain production capacity.关键词
