Abstract
Objective:This study aims to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of acupoint embedding at stellate ganglion and other points combined with plum-blossom needling therapy in the treatment of chronic eczema,providing a safer and more effective integrative treatment approach for clinical management of chronic eczema.Methods:A total of 80 patients diagnosed with chronic eczema and admitted to Shanxi Provincial Acupuncture Hospital between August 2024 and August 2025 were selected as study subjects.Patients were randomly assigned using a random number method into two groups:40 patients in the observation group and 40 in the control group.During the study,2 patients in the control group withdrew for personal reasons,leaving 38 patients who completed the study in the control group.The control group received conventional Western medicine,while the observation group underwent acupoint embedding at stellate ganglion and other points combined with plum-blossom needling therapy.Eczema Area and Severity Index(EASI),Dermatology Quality of Life Scale(DQOLS),and pruritus Visual Analog Scale(VAS)scores were recorded before and after 8 weeks of treatment;peripheral blood eosinophil(EOS)counts were also assessed.EOS,as a key marker reflecting allergic and inflammatory status,was utilized to evaluate the effect of treatment on the inflammatory response.Results:The total effective rate in the control group was significantly lower than that in the observation group.Both groups exhibited statistically significant reductions in EASI scores,EOS counts,and VAS scores(P<0.05).Furthermore,the observed reductions in the aforementioned indices were significantly greater in the observation group than in the control group,with improvements in quality of life exceeding those in the control group.Conclusion:Acupoint embedding at the stellate ganglion and other points combined with plum-blossom needling therapy exhibits a significant clinical efficacy.This combined therapy,through synergistic effects on neural regulation,endocrine balance,and immune function,effectively inhibits inflammatory responses,alleviates pruritus symptoms,reduces the area of eczema lesions,and significantly improves patient quality of life.It's mechanism of action may involve multipathway enhancement of local microcirculation and modulation of systemic immune status,thereby providing a novel and effective approach for the clinical treatment of chronic eczema.关键词
