Professor ZHAO Hong's experience in treating nipple discharge based on the theory of"strengthening spleen and soothing liver"
摘要
Abstract
Nipple discharge,a common breast disorder,refers to persistent or spontaneous leakage of fluid from the nipple.In traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),it is termed"Ru Qi(乳泣)"or"Ru Nv(乳衄)".Professor ZHAO Hong has over 20 years of experience in the prevention and treatment of breast diseases,possessing extensive clinical expertise.Professor ZHAO posits that the pathogenesis of this condition involves underlying deficiency with superficial excess:spleen deficiency leads to impaired control function;liver stagnation causes Qi(气)dysfunction,and disharmony of the Chong(冲)and Ren(任)vessels.Treatment adheres to the principle of"strengthening the spleen and boosting Qi,regulating the liver and dispersing stagnation."Strengthening the spleen to restore the middle Jiao's(中 焦)function of controlling and retaining fluids,while regulating the liver and harmonizing Qi restores the Shaoyang's(少 阳)dispersing function.ZHAO also emphasizes both kidney tonification and emotional regulation and uses herbs flexibly,achieving remarkable therapeutic outcomes.This article summarizes Professor ZHAO Hong's experience in treating nipple discharge using the"strengthening spleen and soothing liver"method,supported by one verified case.关键词
