Abstract
Under the conditions of ensuring the functionality of hearth-side equipment and the quality of taphole clay,No.5 Blast Furnace,WISCO Ironmaking Plant optimized forehearth operations,increased the depth and compactness of taphole channels,and standardized the tapping and slagging regime.The original inter-mittent tapping mode was converted into uninterrupted continuous tapping.As a result,the effective tapping and slagging time of the blast furnace was greatly extended.Issues of blast holding were alleviated,while blast vol-ume and productivity coefficient were improved,leading to more stable furnace conditions.Meanwhile,the flow rates of molten iron and slag decreased,which reduced the operational risks of the slag-iron handling system.关键词
