摘要
Abstract
Based on the FAOSTAT Food Balance Sheets, this study estimates China's nutrient self-sufficiency rate, nutrient satisfaction rate, and nutrient satisfaction self-sufficiency rate from the perspective of food nutrients for the period 2010-2023.The results show that China's self-sufficiency rates for energy, protein, and fat declined from 87.9%,80.5%,and 76.0%in 2010 to 79.4%,69.3%,and 69.9%in 2023,representing decreases of 8.5,11.1,and 6.1 percentage points, respectively.According to the nutrient intake recommendations issued by FAO-WHO and the USDA,the nutrient satisfaction rates for the supply of energy, protein, and fat in 2023 were estimated at 157.1%,249.0%,and 130.8%,while the corresponding domestic nutrient satisfaction rates were 99.3%,131.7%,and 74.5%,respectively.The corresponding nutrient satisfaction self-sufficiency rates for total nutrient supply were 111.7%,131.4%,and 95.6%,while those for domestically supplied nutrients were 88.8%,95.5%,and 72.1%,respectively.The findings indicate that China's overall nutrient supply is relatively abundant, whereas domestically supplied nutrients remain insufficient to meet domestic demand, with fat exhibiting the largest nutrient deficit.Meanwhile, potential risks to China's food and nutrition security remain. To further improve food and nutrition security in terms of both nutrient quantity and dietary structure, greater efforts should be made to strengthen diversified domestic food production, enhance domestic nutrient supply capacity, expand domestic oilseed production, correct the misconception that higher protein intake is necessarily better, and increase policy support for diversifying food import sources.关键词
