Abstract
Since the new century, the historical value of Wang Lin's The Inland has been rediscovered.Returning to the work itself and deeply analyzing the author's spiritual phenomena behind the text reveals that the"imperfections"of The Inland are in fact a true reflection of Wang Lin's psychological contradictions, formal techniques, and handling of identity.Wang Lin was a good revolutionary soldier in central Hebei, and his work possesses substantial historical value. However,it does have artistic deficiencies, specifically an inability to properly resolve the tensions between sensation and reason, form and content, revolution and art.His artistic techniques are not mature enough, and the emotional orientation is insufficiently clear. Moreover,he integrated his own complex emotions into the writing, which did not align with the political context of the time—this is the main reason he was not accepted by mainstream critics.Conducting a symptomatic analysis of Wang Lin's diary, with attention to the writer's mentality, facilitates a deeper understanding of the work's value and yields meaningful insights.关键词
