Professor Ma Lieguang's Application of"Treatment of the Untreatable"in Traditional Chinese Medicine Preconception Care Based on Theory of"Liver-Kidney Interdependence"
摘要
Abstract
In light of the global decline in fertility rates and the rising incidence of functional infertility,Professor Ma Lieguang,draw-ing on the Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)philosophy of"preventive treatment",which emphasizes"treating disease before it manifests"and grounded in the theory of"the Liver and Kidney sharing a common origin",aims to provide a non-pharmacological well-ness regimen for couples preparing for pregnancy who have no obvious organic lesions or are in a suboptimal state of health.This article systematically elucidates the central regulatory roles of the Liver and Kidney in reproductive health.Guided by the"preventive treat-ment"philosophy,it implements a preconception care principle centered on"pre-pregnancy preparation."By comprehensively integra-ting diverse TCM wellness methods-including emotional regulation,exercise therapy,dietary adjustments,Meridian and Acupoint inter-ventions,and sexual health practices-the approach aligns with the body's physiological rhythms to optimize physical and mental well-be-ing in a phased and individualized manner.Professor Ma Lieguang advocates prioritizing non-pharmacological interventions and empha-sizes the TCM wellness model of"treatment through non-treatment"and"nourishment instead of treatment."This approach provides safe,cost-effective,and effective wellness programs for patients with non-organic infertility and couples in a suboptimal health state preparing for pregnancy,ultimately achieving the goals of"preventing disease before it occurs"and"promoting healthy conception and childbirth."关键词
