Abstract

To investigate the seismic performance of laterally corrugated steel plate special-shaped shear walls under multi-dimensional seismic actions,finite element models of special-shaped shear walls with three cross-sectional shapes,namely channel,T-shaped,and L-shaped,were established based on Abaqus.Parametric analyses were conducted under different loading paths and loading angles.The research results indicate that un-der biaxial loading,the coupled effect of biaxial loads leads to an increase in equivalent plastic strain,result-ing in aggravated damage.Compared with uniaxial loading,it exhibits lower ductility and faster stiffness deg-radation,but with increased cumulative energy dissipation,and the change is more pronounced under cyclic loading.The mutual constraints between the wall limbs of shear walls with different cross-sectional shapes sig-nificantly affect their seismic performance,with channel and T-shaped shear walls exhibiting superior seismic performance compared with L-shaped ones.Under different loading angles,all three types of shear walls(channel,T-shaped,and L-shaped)exhibit three energy dissipation modes:energy dissipation in the web,en-ergy dissipation in the flange,and energy dissipation in both the web and the flange.When both the web and flange panels dissipate energy simultaneously,the seismic performance of the shear wall is improved to some extent.Based on the simulation results,a method for calculating the bearing capacity of irregular shear walls is proposed.The irregular wall is first decomposed into a straight wall,and the bearing capacity under uniaxial loading at different angles is calculated based on the cumulative energy dissipation of each part,providing a reference for theoretical research.
