小儿清热宣肺贴膏联合中医推拿辅助治疗小儿肺炎(风温肺热型)的临床疗效观察
Clinical efficacy observation of Xiao'er Qingre Xuanfei plaster combined with traditional Chinese medicine Tuina in adjuvant treatment of infantile pneumonia(wind-warmth lung-heat syndrome)

Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Xiao'er Qingre Xuanfei plaster combined with traditional Chinese medicine Tuina as an adjuvant therapy for infantile pneumonia of the wind-warmth lung-heat syndrome type.Methods:A total of 120 pediatric patients hospitalized and diagnosed with wind-warmth lung-heat type pneumonia at Jiangxi Provincial Children's Hospital from January 2024 to March 2025 were included in this study.They were divided into an experimental group(n=60)and a control group(n=60)using a random number table method.The control group received conventional western medical treatment,including anti-infective therapy.The experimental group received acupoint application of Xiao'er Qingre Xuanfei plaster and traditional Chinese medicine Tuina in addition to the conventional treatment provided to the control group.The primary outcome measures included traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,time to resolution of clinical symptoms,length of hospital stay,white blood cell(WBC)count,C-reactive protein(CRP)level,and improvement on chest radiographs.Results:Compared with the control group,the experimental group had a more pronounced advantage in improving clinical symptoms.The times to resolution of fever,cough,sputum,and lung rales in the experimental group were significantly shorter than those in the control group(P<0.01),and the total traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score was also significantly lower at day 7 of treatment(P<0.05).The length of hospital stay was significantly reduced[6.0(5.0,7.0)days vs 8.0(7.0,10.0)days,P<0.05],and the overall clinical efficacy rank distribution was significantly superior to the control group(Z=-2.156,P=0.031).Regarding laboratory indicators,there were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in WBC,CRP,and chest radiograph improvements at day 7 of treatment(P>0.05).The safety assessment revealed that only one case in the experimental group experienced a minor adverse reaction(redness at the application site)during the treatment period,which did not affect the treatment progress.Conclusion:Xiao'er Qingre Xuanfei plaster combined with Traditional Chinese medicine Tuina,as an adjuvant therapy,can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of infantile pneumonia of the wind-warmth lung-heat type,shorten the duration of hospitalization,and has a good safety profile.This approach offers an effective integrative medicine treatment option for this disease.关键词
