Abstract
To address the issues of severe wear at pipeline bends and excessive energy consumption in pneumatic conveying systems,this paper proposed an innovative solution:Installing auxiliary air injection at the location of maximum bend wear.Using the computational particle-fluid dynamics(CPFD)method,a numerical model was developed to locate the maximum-wear region,and an experimental platform was constructed to verify the accuracy of model and determine the applicable parameter range for auxiliary air injection.A systematic investigation was performed to examine the effects of auxiliary air injection angle and velocity on particle motion characteristics,and pressure drop signal fluctuations were analyzed via power spectral density(PSD).The results demonstrated that,compared with the conventional approach of installing guide vanes at bends for wear control,the proposed auxiliary air injection method featured a simpler manufacturing process.Under identical conveying conditions,it achieved superior anti-wear performance,reducing the bend wear rate by up to 26.4%,while also lowering bend energy consumption by up to 6.3%.This study successfully determines the optimal structural parameters for auxiliary air injection,providing an effective technical approach for reducing energy consumption in pneumatic conveying and extending pipeline service life.关键词
