Buccal Acupuncture for the Treatment of Cardiac Neurosis

Abstract
The occurrence of cardiac neurosis is closely associated with emotional disturbances.Emotional disorders,abnormal ascend-ing,descending,exiting,and entering of qi movement,result in malnutrition of the heart,which manifests as somatic symptoms such as palpitations,shortness of breath,insomnia,and anxiety.The primary mechanism involves heightened sympathetic tone and reduced vagal tone of the heart.According to the"holographic theory",buccal acupuncture,by needling specific acupoints on the face,can stimulate corresponding spinal ganglia,thereby modulating the functions of the cardiac sympathetic and vagal nerves,restoring autonomic nervous system balance,exerting beneficial effects on cardiovascular activity,and alleviating a range of somatic symptoms in patients with cardiac neurosis.Based on the theory of the"greater triple energizer",buccal acupuncture regards the triple energizer as the hub regulating vis-ceral functions,the five wills and seven emotions,and qi transformation activities.It establishes unique triple-energizer acupoints and emphasizes the resolution of abdominal targets,thereby facilitating the pivotal movement of qi and its circulation throughout the body,thus treating various disorders arising from dysfunctional qi transformation.Based on the"psychosomatic theory",buccal acupuncture integrates simultaneous treatment of mind and body,coordinating qi regulation,body regulation,and spirit regulation.It alleviates muscle tension resulting from somatization of psychological disorders,achieving immediate symptomatic relief in patients with cardiac neurosis.On the basis of distinctive"holographic theory""greater triple energizer theory"and"psychosomatic theory"buccal acupuncture in-volves needling specific points on the buccal region to reduce sympathetic overactivity,enhance vagal tone,and regulate autonomic nerv-ous system function,thereby producing beneficial feedback on cardiac activity.Additionally,it can regulate triple-energizer qi transfor-mation,harmonizes the patient's emotional state,and addresses the body,qi,and spirit holistically,demonstrating remarkable efficacy for both somatic and psychological symptoms of cardiac neurosis.关键词
